Frequently Asked Questions
How long do I have to file a car accident claim in Arizona?
Usually two years from the crash to file a lawsuit (A.R.S. §12-542).2 Claims against a city, county or the state need a notice of claim within 180 days (A.R.S. §12-821.01).
What if I was partly at fault?
Arizona uses pure comparative fault: your recovery is reduced by your share of fault, but not barred (A.R.S. §12-2505).3
Is Arizona a no-fault state?
No. Arizona is an at-fault state, so the at-fault driver's liability insurer usually pays. Your own uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage may also apply.
Does Arizona cap injury damages?
The Arizona Constitution bars laws that limit damages for injury or death (Ariz. Const. art. 2, §31).
Do you have an Arizona office?
No. Our principal office is in Lakeway, Texas. We work with Arizona clients by phone or video. Arizona cases are handled by attorney James M. Loren.
What does it cost?
