Do You Have a Car Accident Case?

Most strong claims have three things in common.

1
You were hurt

Injuries, medical bills, missed work or a wrecked vehicle. Even if pain showed up days later.

2
Someone else was at fault

Even partly. Under Arizona's pure comparative fault rule, your share of blame reduces your recovery but doesn't bar it.3

3
There's insurance to pay

The other driver's liability policy, and often your own uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.

What to Do After a Car Accident Near You

Short on time? Do these, then call us. We handle the rest.

  1. Call 911 and get checked out. Go to the ER or urgent care, even if you feel okay.
  2. Take photos. Cars, plates, the scene, your injuries. Get witness names.
  3. Get the crash report. It's usually filed by city police, the Pinal County Sheriff or Arizona DPS. We can get it for you.
  4. Don't give a recorded statement to the other driver's insurance company.
  5. Keep every bill and receipt, and track the days of work you miss.
  6. Talk to a lawyer before you sign anything. A release ends your claim.

Medical bills

ER, surgery, therapy and the care you'll need in the future.

Lost wages

Time missed from work, and lost earning ability if you can't go back.

Pain & suffering

Physical pain, emotional distress and loss of enjoyment of life.

Permanent injury & scarring

Lasting impairment or disfigurement.

Property damage

Repair or replacement of your vehicle, plus a rental.

Wrongful death

Damages for families who lost a loved one (A.R.S. §12-612).

Car Accident Lawyer Near Me: FAQs

Is there a Goldberg & Loren office near me?

No. We don't have an office in Arizona. Our principal office is in Lakeway, Texas. Pinal County clients work with us by phone or video, so you don't need to travel. Arizona cases are handled by attorney James M. Loren.

How long do I have to file a claim in Arizona?

Usually two years from the crash to file a lawsuit, under A.R.S. §12-542.2 Claims against a city, county or the state require a notice of claim within 180 days (A.R.S. §12-821.01). Call early.

What if I was partly at fault?

Arizona uses pure comparative fault. You can recover even if you were mostly at fault; your award is reduced by your share (A.R.S. §12-2505).3

What if the other driver had no insurance?

Your own uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage may pay. Arizona doesn't use PIP no-fault coverage, so the at-fault driver's insurer is usually the main source.

What does it cost?

Nothing up front. The case review is free, and we only collect a fee if we recover money for you. Case expenses are explained before you sign.
